AgSri, one of the first project developers to issue WBCs under the Water Benefit Standard, was the recipient of an award from the Millennium Alliance on the 25th of November 2004 in Delhi, India for their innovative Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative (SSI) techniques.

Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative (SSI) is an innovative method developed by AgSri espousing methods to reduce inputs while increasing the productivity of sugarcane plantation.

AgSri has also received Water Benefit Certificates after long and rigorous process set up by Gold standard. This confirms that SSI method does reduce water for sugarcane cultivation.
